Frances Eccleston: vicar

Frances worked in mental health social work before ordination twenty years ago, and was Vicar and Area Dean in the Diocese of Sheffield before moving to Whaley Bridge in 2020.  Frances usually works Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, and loves having a team to share ministry with.

BERYL AXCELL: READER

Beryl brings experience of R.E. teaching and has been licensed as Reader since1995. Her ministry is one of preaching and worship leading, including taking funerals. Beryl is a Governor at Kettleshulme St James Primary School and leads the Carers and Toddlers group “CATS” at Holy Trinity.

Steve is married to Frances and works as an Assistant Coroner. His interests in ministry include facilitating groups, preaching and leading worship.

Sue Mellor: Pastoral Worker

Sue is a retired teaching assistant and is trained and licensed as Pastoral Worker. Her main focus is baptism visiting and ministry with children and families. She also mentors trainee Pastoral Workers. Sue organises our popular Children’s and Baby Clothes Swap events.

TOM PARKER

Tom lives in Combs and comes over to keep us organised on Wednesday mornings. You can find Tom in the Parish Office which is located in the Vicarage - 46 Buxton Road, just over the road and fifty yards into the village from Holy Trinity.
